Help Each Other
Assalamu’alaikum wr.wb
إِنّ الْحَمْدَ ِللهِ نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِيْنُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ وَنَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ شُرُوْرِ أَنْفُسِنَا
وَسَيّئَاتِ أَعْمَالِنَا مَنْ يَهْدِهِ اللهُ فَلاَ مُضِلّ لَهُ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْهُ فَلاَ هَادِيَ لَهُ
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلهَ إِلاّ اللهُ
وَأَشْهَدُ أَنّ مُحَمّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ
اَللهُمّ صَلّ وَسَلّمْ عَلى مُحَمّدٍ وَعَلى آلِهِ وِأَصْحَابِهِ وَمَنْ تَبِعَهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ
إِلَى يَوْمِ الدّيْن.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالا كَثِيرًا وَنِسَاءً
وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي تَسَاءَلُونَ بِهِ وَالأرْحَامَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلا سَدِيدًا
يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا
All Praise and Thanks is for Allah, God of the universe, who has given us happiness, Mercy and Blessing that is uncountable to His entire creature. Because of opportunity and health from Him, we could gather in this blessed place to do Jum’at prayer together.
Shalawat and Salam are always be given to our uswatun hasanah, messenger of God, Muhammad s.a.w. who had broken us free from jahiliyah era, and also to his family, his friends, and to all of his followers till the end of time.
In this opportunity, khatib gives message to himself and to all Jama’ah to increase the quality of our iman and taqwa, because it is the best preparation to the yaumul akhir.
Allah swt says in Holy Qur’an in surah QS. Al-Baqarah : 195
وَأَنْفِقُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلا تُلْقُوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ وَأَحْسِنُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
“And spend of your substance in the cause of Allah, and make not your own hands contribute to (your) destruction; but do good; for Allah loveth those who do good.”
Kaum Muslimin Rahimakumullah
Today’s Khotbah is about giving the best of what we have. Giving each other with anything we could give. Let us have a look to the condition of this country. We know that we have a lot of problem, such as corruption case that haven’t cleared yet, un-original result of work of teenagers in this country and poorness and also bad quality of health. Let us introspect ourselves; maybe this country needs people who always give the best for the society and environment. This country doesn’t need selfish, egoist person who only thinks about himself. Nobody can live without other person, we need each other, because we are social creature.
Ma’asyiral Muslimin Rahimakumullah
Human is created by Allah swt to worship Him, as the holy Qur’an says in surah adz-dzariyat verse 56(fifty six):
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالإنْسَ إِلا لِيَعْبُدُونِ
“I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me.”
Does this ayat tells us to just worshipping all the time like angels who pray to God endlessly? No, besides it we also have to do the best in our daily life. By expecting blessing from Allah, we work because of Allah, we make a friend because of Allah, we help each other because of Allah and everything we do, we do it for Allah. hablumminAllah and hablumminannaas have to work both way.
Kaum Muslimin Rahimakumullah
In a hadits Rasulullah said :
It was narrated from Jabir r.a. said, "Rasulullah said, 'A believer is friendly and there is no good for someone who is not being friendly. And best of men are the most beneficial to mankind. "
“The best people are those who are the most useful to others” 2X
This hadith shows that to be the best human, we have to be useful for other people. Can we be a useful person? The answer is yes. Every person is gifted value and weakness, talent by Allah swt. Value can be very various, it could be material, power, knowledge, strength, skill and many more. With those values, we can help people who need it around us by only expecting ridha from Allah swt. Allah promised to human that Allah will give manifold increase to who He pleased in surah Al-Baqarah verse 261
مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ حَبَّةٍ أَنْبَتَتْ سَبْعَ سَنَابِلَ فِي كُلِّ سُنْبُلَةٍ مِائَةُ حَبَّةٍ وَاللَّهُ يُضَاعِفُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَاللَّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ
“The parable of those who spend their substance in the way of Allah is that of a grain of corn: it grows seven ears, and each ear Hath a hundred grains. Allah gives manifold increase to whom He pleased: And Allah cared for all and He known all things.”
This means we will get seven hundreds of Rewards by doing good deeds. And don’t follow what Qarun had done; He was blessed by Allah with a great richness and glamourness. But what he did then? He becomes Arrogant, He thinks that his richness comes from his own cleverness, his own skill and he loves to show off His richness to people. He ignored people’s advice for Him. And finally Allah gave him the consequence. Allah took his richness off. As the holy Qur’an said in surah Al-Qashash verse 81:
فَخَسَفْنَا بِهِ وَبِدَارِهِ الأرْضَ فَمَا كَانَ لَهُ مِنْ فِئَةٍ يَنْصُرُونَهُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُنْتَصِرِينَ
“ Then We caused the earth to swallow up him and his house; and he had not (the least little) party to help him against Allah, nor could he defend himself.”
Kaum muslimin rahimakumullah,
What is the benefit of our richness, if we waste money to do bad deeds, partying, while there are so many poor people around us?
What is the benefit of our power, if we take advantages for ourselves in doing bad thing, cheating, and nepotism?
What is the benefit of our knowledge, if it makes us arrogant; don’t want to teach it to other person, even damaging human life with cleverness.
What is the benefit of our strength, if we use it to hurt other people?
Na’udzubillahimindzalik.
Verily, whatever we have, that is gift from Allah and will be returned to him back. No difference between the rich and the poor, the weak & the strong, the old & the young in front of Allah. The only thing that matter is quality of taqwa that someone has. So, what have we done to help other people?
بَارَكَ اللهُ لِيْ وَلَكُمْ فِي الْقُرْآنِ الْعَظِيْمِ وَنَفَعَنِيْ
وَإِيَّاكُمْ بِمَا فِيْهِ مِنَ اْلآيَاتِ وَالذِّكْرِ الْحَكِيْمِ
أَقُوْلُ قَوْلِيْ هَذَا وَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ لِيْ لَكُمْ وَلِسَائِرِ الْمُسْلِمِيْنَ مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ فَاسْتَغْفِرُوْهُ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْغَفُوْرُ الرَّحِيْمُ
Khutbah Kedua
إِنّ الْحَمْدَ ِللهِ نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِيْنُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ وَنَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنْ شُرُوْرِ أَنْفُسِنَا
وَسَيّئَاتِ أَعْمَالِنَا مَنْ يَهْدِهِ اللهُ فَلاَ مُضِلّ لَهُ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْهُ فَلاَ هَادِيَ لَهُ
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلهَ إِلاّ اللهُ
وَأَشْهَدُ أَنّ مُحَمّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ
اَللهُمّ صَلّ وَسَلّمْ عَلى مُحَمّدٍ وَعَلى آلِهِ وِأَصْحَابِهِ وَمَنْ تَبِعَهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ
إِلَى يَوْمِ الدّيْن
بَعْدُ أَمّا
Jama’ah Jum’at Rahimakumullah
Marilah kita meningkatkan qualitas iman dan taqwa kepada Allah swt karena merupakan bekal terbaik menuju hari akhir. Marilah kita saling tolong-menolong dalam kebajikan dan taqwa dan janganlah tolong menolong dalam kebathilan. Karena Orang yang selalu menebar kebaikan dan memberi manfaat bagi orang lain adalah sebaik-baik manusia. Kenapa Rasulullah SAW menyebut seperti itu? Setidaknya ada 4 alasan yang mendasari kenapa kita harus berjuang menjadi manusia sebaik-baiknya.
Pertama, karena manusia tersebut akan dicintai Allah swt. Rasulullah SAW pernah bersabda bahwa orang yang paling dicintai Allah adalah yang paling bermanfaat bagi orang lain. Adakah tipe manusia yang lebih baik dari orang yang dicintai Allah SWT?
Alasan kedua, karena ia melakukan amal yang terbaik. Kaidah usul fiqih menyebutkan bahwa kebaikan yang amalnya dirasakan orang lain lebih bermanfaat ketimbang yang manfaatnya dirasakan oleh diri sendiri. Apalagi jika efeknya adalah lebih luas. Amal itu bisa menyebabkan orang seluruh negeri merasakan manfaatnya. Karena itu tak heran jika para sahabat ketika ingin melakukan suatu kebaikan bertanya kepada Rasulullah SAW, amal apa yang paling afdhol untuk dikerjakan.
Ketika musim kemarau dan masyarakat kesulitan air, Rasulullah SAW berkata membuat atau membeli (untuk disedekahkan) sumur adalah amal yang paling utama. Saat seseorang ingin berjihad sementara ia punya ibu yang sudah sepuh dan tidak ada yang merawat, Rasulullah SAW menyebut berbakti kepada si ibu adalah amal yang paling utama bagi orang itu. Dan beberapa contoh kebaikan-kebaikan utama lainnya.
Ketiga, karena ia melakukan kebaikan yang sangat besar pahalanya. Berbuat sesuatu untuk orang lain besar pahalanya. Bahkan Rasulullah saw. berkata, “Seandainya aku berjalan bersama saudaraku untuk memenuhi suatu kebutuhannya, maka itu lebih aku cintai daripada I;tikaf sebulan di masjidku ini.” (HR.Thabrani). Subhanallah, mari kita jaga dan kawal semua amal dalam keihlasan sampai akhir hayat.
Keempat, memberi manfaat kepada orang lain terkadang mengundang kesaksian dan pujian orang yang beriman. Allah swt. mengikuti persangkaan hambanya. Ketika orang menilai diri kita adalah orang yang baik, maka atas ijin Allah swt pula, Allah swt menggolongkan kita ke dalam golongan hambanya yang baik. Seperti dalam hadist Hr. Muslim berikut :

Dari Abu Dzarr, ia berkata : Rasulullah SAW pernah ditanya, “Bagaimanakah kalau seseorang beramal kebaikan (karena Allah) lalu dipuji orang ?”. Jawab Rasulullah SAW, “(Itu bukan riya’), tetapi itu sebagai pendahuluan berita gembira bagi seorang mukmin”. (HR.Muslim)
DOA PENUTUP KHUTBAH
إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا
للَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ
وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيْمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيْمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيْدٌ مَجِيْدٌ
اَللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُسْلِمِيْنَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ،
اَللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْمُسْلِمِيْنَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ،
وَالْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
اْلأَحْيَاءِ مِنْهُمْ وَاْلأَمْوَاتِ،
إِنَّكَ سَمِيْعٌ قَرِيْبٌ مُجِيْبُ الدّعَوَاتِ
رَبَّنا لا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَْيتَنا ،
رَبَّنا لا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَْيتَنا ،
وَهَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمة ، إِنّكَ أنتَ الوَّهابُ
رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ
رَبَنَا ءَاتِنَا فِي الدّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي اْلأَخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ لنّارِ
Ibadallah
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَالإحْسَانِ وَإِيتَاءِ ذِي الْقُرْبَى وَيَنْهَى عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ وَالْبَغْيِ يَعِظُكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ
wala zikrullahi akbar .
